Formula

The calculation should start with real reading days

PageMate divides the pages left by the number of selected reading days between your start date and deadline, then rounds up. The time estimate uses the pace you choose, so the result feels like a usable plan instead of a raw number.

Example

A useful answer is specific

If 320 pages are left and only 16 reading days remain, the target is 20 pages a day. At a normal pace, that is about 40 minutes. If weekends are unavailable, the same deadline may require a noticeably larger weekday target.

FAQ

Questions readers ask before they commit to a plan

What does this calculator optimize for?

It calculates the minimum whole-number page target and estimated daily reading time needed to finish by your chosen date.

Why does the result use reading days instead of calendar days?

Most reading plans fail when they count days you were never going to read. Reading days make the target more honest.

Can I use this for school or book-club deadlines?

Yes. It works best when the finish date matters and you need a clear daily target before the deadline arrives.
